Berkshire County's main river is the Housatonic, which in addition to changing its course over decades in the floodplain provides many moods as our seasons change. This wet year, it has flowed above average, and recent rains again have strengthened its current. This photo is a composite panorama of two vertical camera shots, spliced together to produce a classic photo almost in the style of the old large-format cameras.Taken from the west end of the Sheffield Covered Bridge about 3oo yards from here, the large format included both the sky and the water, and much late fall detail otherwise lost to a single zoomed shot (click for a larger view).
