Burning Bush

Rainy days provide subtle lighting opportunities for amateur photographers. Many frosts and freezes have emptied trees of upper leaves, exposing the understory to increasing cold. Among the bushes under the canopy are naturalized burning bushes, which in combination with an overcast sky and muted lighting, momentarily glow along our dirt roads and back lanes as they succumb to an advancing fall.
