Mte Bre

In 1957 our economist father (with hat) took us on a tour of much of Europe, from Shannon, Ireland, to London to Paris to the Alps and into northen Italy, western Austria, and southern Germany. One of our more memorable stops was at the top of a cable funicular at a restaurant on Mte Bre above Lugano, Switzerland. During the 1970s and later, we returned to the same restaurant many times, most recently in 2004 with friends from here.
In the early photo the view is to the northwest, and to the west in the later. We have climbed many of the background hills, and hope to return again soon for that view and cold beer.
