MLH's wildflower-seed garden sports many cosmos of various colors. On this afternoon's visit, we captured a glimpse of the force of nature in autumn, mating bumblebees. He's focussed on nature, while she sips nectar.By now fertile, she has flown to her future nest site, perhaps a rotting stump or a mound of well drained soil, where she will overwinter and then establish a colony of bumblebees next spring. His job done, he will not see that spring. And so life goes among the Cosmos.
