As the abundance of prey taken by omnivorous, opportunistic, noisy blue jays declines along with our temperatures, these aggressive birds begin shouldering others aside at our bird feeder. This bird's mere appearance scattered lesser birds, making room for this colorful rogue's appetite for sunflower hearts.
