Then and Now II

As mentioned in Then and Now below, we enjoy retaking photos taken earlier. The first photo of the Carona, Switzerland, church was taken in 1979, almost exactly 28 years ago. Carona is a small Swiss/Italian village above Lugano and on the ridge behind San Salvatore mountain, as shown in the earlier Then and Now.
My friend in Lugano just retook the photo from about the same perspective. Some of the obvious changes are the new road rail, a new pavement, a rebuilt doorway to the right of the road, the immense growth of trees and shrubs on the left precipice, and that the first photo was taken in the evening, while the recent one was taken in late morning.
Among southern Switzerland's antiquities, change comes slowly.
