Pettneu

The photo shows the little town of Pettneu, Austria, in the Arlberg west of Innsbruck. The picture represents the marvel of modern communication as every day or so we monitor one of our favorite places by webcam, which is mounted high on a hotel in the adjacent smaller town of Schnann.
Tuesday the hills were deep green with summer grass, above the tree line almost to the top. This early September morning they are white with new snow, almost down to Pettneu. A taste of fall has come to Germany and Austria a bit early this year.
