We first spotted wild swans back in late March on a small pond, then again on Smiley's Pond in Egremont, and yesterday again on Sheffield's Mill Pond. The pair we had hoped would raise a family on the small pond soon continued north, we assume. The one on Smiley's Pond stayed but a week, and left with the migrating Canada geese. Now, late for migration, the appearance of these two gives hope for cygnets, perhaps a future post.

Wild Mute Swans
We first spotted wild swans back in late March on a small pond, then again on Smiley's Pond in Egremont, and yesterday again on Sheffield's Mill Pond.
