Western Mass may get up to four inches of snow today and tonight, plus sleet and a bit of freezing rain before a return to snow. Local schools may be delayed or closed tomorrow. On our return from breakfast at M...'s this morning we drove over Baldwin Hill, which provides extensive views over the open fields of one of the few remaining milk farms in our area.To the west, a fine snow already falls on Catamount Ski Area, which also furiously makes Berkshire snow, in hopes of opening early this skiing season. Judging from our below normal temps so far this fall, with luck they may be able to build a lasting base in just a week.
