The World's Webcams

On the way from Switzerland to a very good friend's home in Austria, we customarily go by car and stop overnight in Pettneu, a small recreational and skiing village in the Arlberg, on the way down to Innsbruck and into southern Austria to our friend's mountain heaven.
The next village of Schnann has a webcam up on a hotel roof that looks west up the valley toward Pettneu nestled against the base of high Austrian alps and that offers a ready glimpse of local color and weather. I try to look at it every other day or so.
Over the past few days in mid-July, snow has been falling above Pettneu, adding to the contrast of moist, green meadow and wooded slopes rising up to the tree line and fresh snow, a contrast to our New England heat and humity.
