Winter Fun

Apparently this winter will go into the history books for snow, and snow cover, with the northern hemisphere already showing the second greatest snow cover on record and many all time records for snowfall elsewhere. One reason we retired in the north was to continue to enjoy New England weather, which is highly variable, often on the same day. Today is no exception, with morning temperatures in the high 30s turning into very heavy snow with four or five inches of accumulation by 3 pm while the temperature fell to freezing.
Reportedly, this picturesque snow fall is but the first of two, with the next storm forecast to be a blizzard and near hurricane, with 40-foot waves off the New England coast by Friday.
Of course, as seasoned New Englanders, we take forecasts with a grain of salt, and the storms as they may come.
