November Sunset

Overnight a strong low-pressure weather system moved up the northeast coast, dropping our barometer to a second deep low this year although the center of the storm was some 300 miles east of us. Wind and pelting rain mixed with snow fell most of the night, bringing a short power outage in the early morning. At first light, we could see the upper part of The Dome covered in snow, although we saw none down here in the valley.
The winds blew strongly all day, driving low clouds rapidly south, only just now quieting as the sun set.
