Our part of the world fosters eastern bluebirds, often stimulating three nestings containing up to five eggs each. In early autumn, these extended families entertain us with their personable behavior as they socialize and learn skills essential for their survival into the next nesting season. Their rapid growth and adaption compresses into a summer virtually all of the development a child accomplishes in a dozen years. Often they mature so fast that the first fledglings will help their parents rear a third nesting box full. Much can be said of the example of these sensible bluebirds.
