Pine Siskin
As winter storms approach, flocks of American Goldfinch and Pine Siskin squabble among themselves for position at our feeder. The pecking order seems to favor the siskin, which aggressively flashes yellow wing and tail side feathers not normally visible as it evicts a goldfinch from a perch.
