Florida's Winter Visitors

While in the springs area of Florida, our hosts showed us some of the many winter bird visitors mingling with the human snow birds. Several sandhill cranes stalked about the lawns of parks and the reeds of drainage ditches and canals, seemingly unperturbed by our presence.
This crane let us approach to within 20 feet, only to go back to feeding on bugs in the reeds.
