Most every blossom that could, did, this spring. M's gardens sport many flowers, and close by, such as under the big maple, we find abundant violets, both in a bunch as above and spread across the vibrant, green lawn.
A few days ago in a light shower, while meandering among Sheffield's many lanes, we came across this side yard, no doubt enjoyed by owner and passersby in turn.
Closer to home, perhaps three Baltimore oriole families along the Mill Pond, many of the lakeside homes have diverse flowering trees gracing their drives and lawns. A 45-minute walk finds dogwood, crab apple, flowing quince, shad, trillium, apple, wild and choke cherry, fresh lilac, fading forsythia, and sundry others all in bloom at once and scattered along our walk.
